Commercial commissions typically consider required colors, the scale, lighting and design of the space, and the style and subject matter desired.

A hallmark of Macchiaroli’s style can be seen in the highly-textured canvas and expressive use of color. Acrylic and mixed media on canvas is the medium most often used, but many different mediums can be employed.

Commissioned pieces have ranged in size from as small as 8”x10” to as large as 8’x50’. The only size limitation is the space in which the piece will hang.
